On April 16, a group of sailors visited the Theotokos School for Children with Special Needs to clean and paint the facility

Fourteen Sailors from USS SAN JACINTO hit the beach during a recent liberty port in Cyprus. But instead of splashing in the waves and soaking up the sun, they volunteered their free time to give back to the community. One Sailor humorously noted: “I was picking up trash and as I greeted someone passing by, they stopped to ask what I had done that warranted having to pick up trash. I quickly explained that we wanted to do this to give back to their wonderful community.” The Sailors were on a three day liberty port visit during a seven month deployment to the Mediterranean.
