Fulbright Advisors and Assistant Public Affairs Officer Explain the Benefits of U.S. Education

December 8, 2009

A Cyprus Fulbright Commission advisor explained the benefits of U.S. education to Cypriot students.

On December 8, the Fulbright Commission, four Cypriot alumni, and Assistant Public Affairs Officer Jessica Adams teamed up to discuss higher education at the Xenion School in Paralimni. Students were encouraged to look into U.S. educational programs, with alumni extolling the benefits of flexible programs that allow students to change majors and work closely with professors. The Assistant Public Affairs Officer pointed out how American education might not be as expensive as you think, given the comparably low cost-of-living and ways to find scholarships, jobs, and ideas to shorten one's program length. The Fulbright Commission discussed the application process and offered its free advising services to all interested students.
