Embassy Nicosia Organizes Post-Modern Dance Workshop:
“Air, Water, Fire and Earth”

November 19, 2007

Embassy Nicosia organized a post-modern dance workshop at the American Center as a follow-up to the dance workshop that took place on October 19 with AzizaOn November 19, Embassy Nicosia organized a post-modern dance workshop at the American Center as a follow-up to the dance workshop that took place on October 19 with Aziza. Using what she learned at that workshop, Arianna Economou, a Cypriot choreographer, continued with the same themes by focusing on the elements of nature: “Air, Water, Fire and Earth” through a mental and physical approach to movement, voice, speaking and dance.

Using improvisation, participants were able to explore their energies as they embodied the elements and increased their perception and expanded their awareness. Ultimately, all those present walked away from the workshop with a better sense of how to use their body as a tool of expression.
